Transition gradually over 7–10 days (or more, if your dog is sensitive) to reduce risk of digestive upset.

A typical schedule might look like:

 • Days 1–3: 25% new freeze‑dried food + 75% old diet

 • Days 4–6: 50% / 50%

 • Days 7–9: 75% / 25%

 • Day 10+: 100% new food

Monitor stool quality, appetite, energy, gas, etc. If any signs of digestive upset (looser stool, vomiting), slow the transition pace.

You can start by offering the freeze‑dried food as a topper on their existing food (kibble, wet, raw) in small amounts before fully switching.
